faithinflorida.com FOREVER!

January 25, 2009

My blog is so reflective of me, in so many ways. Even the moving, settling in, figuring out, etc ect where to leave my blog. So, I’ve decided to settle down for good. I have purchased faithinflorida.com, so that no matter where I go, there I will be :-)

So, even if I decided to switch between blogger sites, I’ll always be there.

faithinflorida.com, it is! See you over there, I hope.

By the way, this is where I store all of my archives. I am hoping to get it over to blogger, to somehow export it all, which I haven’t figured out yet. But, feel free to peruse the archives.

Yes, I’ve moved again.

November 10, 2007

You’ll read why. WordPress just sucks in my opinion. They are going to charge me to use a template that is not their own, so forget them.

This will be my last move, although I will keep my archives up here.

faithflorida.blogspot.com, soon to be faithinflorida.com again.

All that moving and work for nothing, and I am back where I began…seems to be a pattern in my life.

The sonogram!

November 8, 2007

Yay! I decided to wait to find out what the baby’s sex is, and what do you know? I think I saw *it* in the sonogram video I took. Go take a look and tell me what you think…

The poll has been tampered with

November 3, 2007

So last night when I went to bed, I had about 100 votes on my work blog. Overwhelmingly,  the vote was to wait to find out the baby’s sex. It was almost 80% to wait. Then someone that knows me went on there and voted like 50 times for “yes.”  I don’t know who did it, but I will have to do some digging.  But, I know it is someone who knows me from the comment they left.

So now I am not sure what to do. I only wanted people to vote once to make it fair. Hmmm…. what do you think? What should I do?

See the poll

Fuuuuuuming!!!

November 1, 2007

And crying and pouting and just pissed off right now.

I’ll just give you this in a nut shell. A few weeks ago, we had a buyer for our home, which was allowing us to avoid foreclosure. However, when we tried to finalize the sale, our mortgage company told us that the home had been sold in foreclosure three days AFTER our contract with the buyers.

I was so pissed when that happened. Turns out, they lied to us. They never sold the home. Apparently, it is something shady some of the crappy companies do. They hold out to see if they can get more money for the deal. They were trying to LET it go to foreclosure, because there was the possibility they would get more money for it.

So, now the buyers have walked, and we have just been screwed.

Legally, we will see what’s what. But come on, if we don’t have enough money to make a mortgage payment, how will we have enough to get a lawyer.

And you know what? That’s what those jerks are banking on.

Oh my gosh…go read this comment

November 1, 2007

People say the craziest things! Read the following comment. I mean, since when does not finding out your baby’s sex mean that you don’t respect your child? Wow. But, you know I had to laugh and then I had to share this with you

“I think that you should find out so that you can call your new baby by a name, not “it”. This precious child that you are carrying deserves to be respected, and given the dignity of a good name.”

Vote for me! Vote for me!

October 31, 2007

I mean, uh, vote for my sonogram.

Have fun!

I’m baaaaaaack! Oh yeah!

October 30, 2007

Man, I am so happy right now. So, Saturday afternoon, I did the thing I have been dreading most: I checked the mailbox.

Bill, bill, bill, bill, bill, check, bill, bill…

Waitaminute…check?! What is this? I ripped it open and a $300 check was smiling at me. “Hey baby, how you doing?”

“Well, I’m better now that you have come into my life.”

Yes, the joys of freelancing. You write a story, and get paid upon publication date, not when you turn it in. I usually hate this system because you know, I want my money now. But it always seems to pop up when I least expect it, and when I need it the most.

So, what was I going to do with $300? Well, we figured it would go towards a portion of what our computer would cost. We went to Best Buy, who was having a sale on this computer. It was $365. So, we can wait for that last bit of money, I thought.

But, wait, they were taking $100 off all PCs when you sign up for high speed internet. And so we signed up. Yes, forced into a contract we would probably not want after a few months. Turns out, their system was down and we couldn’t sign up.

So, they took $100 off anyway sans the contract. And for an extra $20 (another deal they were having) we bought the printer we needed for so many years.

And we paid exactly $313.00 for it all.

Life is good.

Oh and p.s…you get to decide my future for me. Well, kind of. I posted a poll on my work blog. Please leave me comments and vote, vote, vote!

Well, I’ll be back with that link very soon. I forgot. When you get paid to blog, an editor has to approve everything. So restricting, which is why I will always love my personal blog. She will probably approve it by tomorrow…
