Ugh…what to do.
G (for “guy” I was telling u about last week) is getting married tomorrow! I had dinner with he and his fiance, and she- in an adorable black dress highlighting her pregnant tummy- was telling me all about.
Man…
So I call his mom today and she has not said anything to anyone. I told her “you HAVE to tell her. At least say this: “G has something to tell you and you need to know before you get married. If he won’t tell you then I will (you know that way you give him the opportunity but also let her know that something is up)”
Now, I was already (internally) tripping about the whole thing when I found this out:
The best man in G’s wedding is none other than the guy he’s been seeing (to put it politely.)
When did I step into the screen of a soap opera? So, if mom doesn’t tell G, then I will just have to call the fiance and…
no, I am not going to tell her details, but I would tell her that “You need to know something before you get married, and if G doesn’t tell you then call his mom and if mom doesn’t tell you, then you’re on your own.” Just kidding. I wouldn’t say that last part. Although, I hope it doesn’t come down to that last part.
I’ll keep you posted. You know I will HAVE to update you tomorrow. So, until then…headaches and drama all around…egh.
UPDATE:
I just called fiance and said this: “G’s mom has been really needing to talk to you. Can you call her right now? It’s very important. I mean it, as soon as we hang up..call her.”

Taking a break from my article to tell you about a rather unfortunate (icky) incident:
So I’m working and I say to Naomi, “Can you make mommy a nice warm waffle with butter?”
“Sure momma.”
I am crunching into it– mmmm..nice and warm- when….
it
doesn’t
taste
quite
right
Because apparently we are out of butter and Naomi figured the next best thing would be cream cheese. Although…I was thinking, we haven’t had cream cheese in a few months.
Wrong- we had it alright– hiding in the back of the fridge… gross and rotten and waiting for my daughter to smear it on a waffle to give to me!!!
Ewww..this taste is never going to come out….Ech.

I cannot believe God gave me this- the cover story of the magazine. I mean, as a writer, it is a huge clip for me. I am just so excited- and yet kind of nervous about this one. This is the big one- the one that they work the entire magazine around. Am I ready for it? Are they really trusting me to put this entire story together?
Yeah, they are.
You know what I really want to do though? Pay close attention, because I rarely talk about this. It makes me nervous, as if…If I say it out loud, everything will come crashing down. But, honestly, I have nothing to fear. So, I’ll say it out loud.
I want to write books- for women. about women.
I told my husband last night: “I want to write about an inspirational woman.” I think I could write a great book if I had the right story.
I just need the right story. I know God will give it to me.
Any suggestions? Any one you think you would want to read an entire book about?
(I said it wrote it out loud.) *pats self on back*

I Came home sick today and am just feeling like craaaap today but I am going to fill you in anyways.
So the deal is this:
Someone veryveryvery close to me is about to get married. In fact, he and his fiance were recently engaged. She is so adorable and she is two months pregnant. Turns out (and this is really crazy.) I mean, I have only seen this on Oprah.
He has been cheating on her. But, with a guy. Yes, I said it. With a guy. The deal is that his whole family knows about this because well..someone caught him in the shower with dude and when confronted, he got really angry and said he absolutely would not under any circumstances tell his fiance.
He said he would stop “messing around” like that and he said that they hadn’t gone all the way. But I was really upset because dude..not fair to marry someone with those kinds of secrets. She should know it all before she says I do. I mean, I’m thinking okay, if he leaves her one day FOR A GUY…she should at least have had fair warning.
SO CRAZY that here is this girl getting married next week and she has no idea. I pretty much told his mom that she needs to force him to tell her. (If you don’t tell her then I will type of deal.)
So, how crazy is that? I am only thinking of the girl. I mean, if you were cheating on her with another girl she should know that..but this is a big deal.
Who has seen the Oprah show where these women find out their husbands have been sleeping with guys for the last oh..15 years of marriage? And this is not one of those things that you can just sweep under the rug and it goes away.
So, wow. What would you do? I mean, I don’t think it’s my place which is why I spoke to his mom about forcing him. But check it: She is not going to. Everyone is just going to sweep this under the rug until one day they have 4 kids and her husband tells her he is leaving her for another guy. Okay, I don’t know that is my imagination running wild.
But this is someone I deeply care about. I don’t know the girl very well but I have known this guy for more than 25 years.
So, what would you do?

tomorrow!
(Yeah, I’m a tease..just ask some of my highschool boyfriends…lol. Which brings me to this: I was still a virgin when I graduated high school. Let’s mix things up a little tonight. Were you?)

I BET this has never happened to you, because in my 30 years here, it has never happened to me. And it’s not THAT crazy, but it kind of IS that crazy…
On my lunch break, I head over to Subway. You know, they have these 4″ subs for kids’ meals that are pretty much the same size of the 6″ subs. (I always feel jipped when I get the already-cut half because the last half is always small.) And so now I only order the 4″ sub.
But anyway, that was just a side note. So, the entire place is empty and I mean completely. I was having a late lunch. I sat at this two-seater table.
As I am eating, this girl walks right up to my table, sits down and makes herself comfortable. RIGHT BESIDE ME…as in she was like 2 inches from my sandwich. I felt like I was in some kind of Seinfeld episode.
I looked up, looked around and as if on cue, she says “Do you mind?”
And because it was so out there, I said “No, you’re okay.”
I just didn’t know what else to say. I was kind of surprised…and plus, I’m not a mean person.
And so she sat there and filled out her job app with me right beside her as if we had met for a lunch date. And in about 30 seconds, I polished off my little sub and ran for the door.
I was right, right? That has never happened to you. If it has, I need affirmation that this kind of random, off-the-wall stuff does not happen just to me. Heh.
